The COVID-19 outbreak and the ongoing pandemic in India has pushed the employment situation from bad to worst with people struggling to arrange even one square meal a day for their families, let alone have sufficient money to buy utilities. Now, amid rising unemployment, ‘Baahubali‘ actor Rana Daggubati has reached out to about 400 tribal families to aid them. As we mentioned earlier, for many families, money is tight and buying essentials isn’t possible. Thus, Rana’s gesture sure comes off as a noble one. The actor went out of his way to help the tribal families of Nirmal district who have little or no access to even the most basic amenities. The people in an entire cluster of villages were provided with groceries and medicines to help them tide through the current time. Allampally and Baba Naik Randa Gram panchayats and hamlets consisting of Gurram Madhira, Pala Regadi, Addala Timmapur, Misala Bhumanna Gudam, Gagannapet, Kaniram Tanda, Chintagudam, Gonguram Guda and Kadem Mandal have received help from the actor for a while now. Last year, sometime in March, Rana Daggubati’s father and film producer Suresh Babu via his production company had donated Rs 1 crore to film and healthcare departments. Besides Rana and his family, several other celebrities have stepped up amid the pandemic and are doing their best to raise funds, and donate to different foundations and charities. Besides helping COVID-19 patients with medical aids, they are also amplifying the voices of those in need of COVID-19 resources using their star power. Sonu Sood is without a doubt putting the most effort into transporting sick patients, providing beds, medication, other resources and encouraging people to get vaccinated. Power couples like Priyanka Chopra Jonas-Nick Jonas and Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli have even raised funds to the tunes of crores to help those affected in the country.
